Kristi Garced is an editorial director and copy expert specializing in retail, fashion, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, and tech. Her expertise includes writing, editing, and brand storytelling; tone of voice development; managing creative teams; and supervising copy for 360° campaigns, social media, email marketing, e-commerce, print collateral, packaging, video/TV/radio scripting, out-of-home advertising, and long- or short-form editorials.

She started her career in journalism, working as a reporter for NYLON Magazine, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, and The Cut at New York Magazine. Ultimately, she landed at Women's Wear Daily, earning the title of Fashion Features Editor over a seven-year tenure.

Since 2017, Kristi has channeled her editorial expertise into brand work, leading in-house copy teams at America’s biggest retailers—think Victoria's Secret and Walmart—as well as scrappy startups looking to boost brand awareness. Whether fine-tuning an Instagram caption or creating tone of voice guidelines, she loves discovering a brand’s story and figuring out how to creatively tell it, and has a knack for synthesizing a message across multiple mediums. She thrives on collaboration and servant leadership, managing teams with enthusiasm, an A+ EQ, and a sense of humor. She is currently the Director of Editorial Copy and Content at David Yurman.

Freelance clients have included Reina Olga swimwear, Red Bull, Nespresso, NBCUniversal, Moda Operandi, and Life House Hotels.
